2,289 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 3,136 discharged & 26 deaths registered
There are 22,024 active Covid cases in Assam
July 7: On Wednesday, out of 1,01,729 tests, 2,289 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,24,556. The positivity rate in the state is 2.25 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 181 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 26 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,743. The recovery rate is 94.64 percent.
It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 2,433 persons tested positive in Assam and 34 deaths were registered.
On Wednesday, 3,136 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,96,442 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 94.64 percent. At present, there are 22,024 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 26 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 26 deceased, 05 are from Sivasagar; 03 each are from Barpeta, Golaghat & Kamrup Metro; 02 each from Charaideo, Goalpara & Hojai; 01 each from Cachar, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Morigaon & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,743.
