2246 patients discharged in Assam on Thursday
Sept. 17: On Thursday, 2246 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,50,349 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from across Assam. At present, there are 28,208 active patients of novel coronavirus in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2246 patients discharged today I request all recovered patients to take good care of themselves and their families. Best Wishes.”
Also, 1380 positive cases were registered during the day. Due to Vishwakarma Puja, the number of tests were less in number in the state. With this, a total of 1,50,349 persons tested positive in Assam as of now. Further, during the day 17 more persons died in Assam due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 528.
