222 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 76 on Friday

May 14: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 222 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 12 May, 71 people succumbed to Covid-19, 13 May recorded 75 more deaths and on 14 May, 76 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 76 deceased on Friday, 20 are from Kamrup Metro; 6 from Tinsukia; 5 each from Kamrup Rural & Kokhrajhar; 4 each from Barpeta, Nalbari, Dibrugarh & Sonitpur; 3 each from Karbi Anglong & South Salmara; 2 each from Baksha, Bongaigaon, Goalpara, Karimganj & Nagaon; 1 each from Cachar, Chirang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur & Sivasagar. The death tally of the state now stands at 2,060.

Apart from the 1,838 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
