NPP delegation meets Amit Shah & JP Nadda, assures to support BJP govt in Manipur: HBS
June 24: National People’s Party (NPP) legislators had withdrawn support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led coalition government in Manipur. This has led to a constitutional crisis in the state. NEDA Convener Himanta Biswa Sarma indicated that the crisis will be resolved soon.
It is in this backdrop that A NPP delegation led by Conrad Sangma and Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur Sri Y Joy Kumar Singh met BJP national President J.P. Nadda in New Delhi on Wednesday. Earlier, the delegation also met Home Minister Amit Shah. They were accompanied by NEDA Convenor, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
