2 renowned teachers felicitated by Bharat Vikas Parishad on Teachers’ Day
Sept. 6: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Dakshin Silchar branch celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5 September, 2021 to commemorate the birth anniversary of second Indian President Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. On this occasion, BVP Dakshin Silchar branch felicitated two retired renowned teacher of Barak Valley-Kabindra Purkayastha and Bimal Nath Choudhury to highlight the nobility of the teaching profession as well as contribution of teachers in the society and development of the nation.
To felicitate them, members of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Dakshin Silchar branch visited their residence and citation was read by Barunjyoti Choudhury in front of the two renowned teachers- Kabindra Purkayastha and Bimal Nathnath Choudhury in presence of Dr Darshana Patoa, Secretary, Dr Kinshuk Adhikari, Treasurer, Biswaraj Chakraborty, Additional Secretary and Member, Biswaranjan Roy.
Expressing their views, the members of Dakshin Silchar branch said that they were honoured to be able to felicitate Kabindra Purkayastha and Bimal Nath Choudhury on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. Both Kabindra Purkayastha and Bimal Nath Choudhury after receiving the memento felt nostalgic and shared with the members of Bharat Vikas Parishad few incidents of their teaching career. Prof. Niranjan Roy, President BVP Dakshin Silchar, appreciated the members of this branch for their noble gesture on Teachers’ Day.
