1st ever bust of Mahatma Gandhi unveiled at UN headquarters

way2barak, Dec.14: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres unveiled a bust of Mahatma Gandhi at the UN Headquarters in New York on Wednesday. The bust was the first Gandhi sculpture installed in the UN headquarters. It was made by renowned Indian sculptor and Padma Shree awardee Ram Sutar, who has also designed the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Gujarat.

This bust of #MahatmaGandhi now adorns the prestigious North Lawn Gardens of the United Nations headquarters at New York.
