Cachar BJYM felicitates 4 sportsperson on National Youth Day

Jan. 13: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Cachar district committee felicitated 4 sportsperson of Cachar who represented Barak as well as Assam in National Level events. The felicitation ceremony was held in the premises of BJP Cachar Headquarters, Itkhola on the auspicious occasion of 159th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda, which is celebrated as National Youth Day on Wednesday.

The occasion was graced by MLA Silchar Dipayan Chakraborty, Cachar BJP President Bimalendu Roy, BJYM President Amitesh Chakraborty, Assam Pradesh BJP SC Morcha Vice-president Amalendu Das among others. In his welcome address, Amitesh Chakraborty appealed the youth to follow the path of Swami Vivekananda. He also urged the youths to work for nation building. Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said, “Let us spread Swami Vivekananda’s dynamic thoughts and ideals far and wide.” Inspired by the great ideals of Swami Vivekananda and his vision for youth empowerment, he also urged the youth to pursue the vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

During the day, BJYM Cachar felicitated Pritam Das of Silchar who represented Assam in Ranji Trophy, IPL. He is also the first player of East Zone who scored 50 plus during Vijay Hazare Trophy. The others who were felicitated are Rahul Singh who represented Assam during under-19 match of BCCI, Abhishek Thakuri of Silchar who represented Sssam during Ranji Trophy and Rupak Chandra Das of Silchar who represented Assam during National Strength-lifting & IBP Championships 2021-22.

The event was also attended by State IT Cell Co-Incharge of BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Ozoswee Das, Cachar BJYM Vice-President Sukanta Suklabaidya, Ranjeet Roy, Bimal Das, General Secretary Sohom Thakur, Suchanda Chakraborty, Secretary Baishali Dutta Roy, Mohitosh Tanti, Subham Roy, Treasurer Arkadeep Bhattacharyya, Santanu Roy among others.
