19 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Tuesday, 23 discharged
There are 241 active patients in the district
Aug 3: A total of 19 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Tuesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 7,540 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which all 18 were found positive, whereas 01 person was detected positive in RT-PCR test. Also, 23 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged. At present, there are 241 active cases in the district. It needs mention here that 37 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Monday.
Further, during the day, a total of 5,259 persons were administered Covid-19 vaccine in Cachar district.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 2 August to 5 PM on 3 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 3 August, there were 57 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 29 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 28 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 05 patients were put under ventilator support and 34 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
