1762 patients discharged in Assam on Wednesday
Sept. 23: On Wednesday, 1762 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, 1,32,709 patients were discharged in the state till now. At present, there are 30,182 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1762 patients discharged today I applaud the great work being done by our medical teams. Kudos.”
On Wednesday, a total of 29,896 tests were done in the state, out of which, 2,098 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,63,491. Further, during the day, another 11 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 597.
