1595 patients discharged in Assam on Saturday
Sept. 26: On Saturday, 1595 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,38,307 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from across the state. At present, there are 30,162 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1595 patients discharged today. My best wishes to all recovered patients and their families. Please take care.”
On Saturday, a total of 25,831 tests were done in the state, out of which, 1736 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,69,110. Further, during the day, another 13 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 638.
