1,550 under home quarantine in Hailakandi, 19 swab samples tested negative

April 4: Results of swab samples of 19 persons from Hailakandi sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) have all tested negative. District Media Expert, National Health Mission, Monika Das revealed that out of 27 swab samples sent to SMC&H, 19 have turned out to be negative while the results of eight are awaited.

1,550 persons have been put under home quarantine with 22 quarantined on Saturday. 788 persons who have already completed their stipulated home quarantine period have been under extended quarantine for next 14 days.

Meanwhile, the district police enforced total lockdown in the district with one vehicle seized and five arrested in the past 24 hours. Eight cases have been registered against violators of the lockdown. Rs.27,000 have been realised by way of penalties.
