147 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 284 discharged & 1 death registered

Oct. 15: On Friday, out of 15,805 tests, 147 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,05,994. The positivity rate in the state is 0.93 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 63 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 01 more person died in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,939. The recovery rate is 98.44 percent.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 207 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 death was registered.

On Friday, 284 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,96,547 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam.  At present, there are 2,161 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 01 patient died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Jorhat. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,939.
