14 persons lost their lives due to Covid-19 in Assam on Saturday

April 24: On Saturday, 14 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. This is the highest single day death toll in the state due to coronavirus in 2021. Out of the 14 deceased, 03 are from Kamrup Metro, 2 each from Dibrugarh, Hojai, Jorhat & Kamrup Rural; 1 each from Barpeta, Sonitpur & Tinsukia. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,186. Further, as per the data released by NHM Assam, another 1,347 Covid patients also died in Assam due to comorbidities.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 12 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19, the highest single day figures in the state this year. Out of the 12 deceased, 05 are from Kamrup Metro, 2 from Kokhrajhar, 1 each from Dibrugarh, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup Rural & Udalguri.

In the last two days alone, 08 positive patients in Kamrup Metro district lost their lives due to Covid-19.
