132 persons test Covid-19 +ve in Cachar till 7 PM on Tuesday

May 4: : A total of 132 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 7 PM on Tuesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 127 persons were found positive in Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT), whereas 05 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert on Friday evening. Further, during the day, 193 air passengers arrived at Silchar Airport, out of which, 155 did Covid test at Tikal Model Hospital, wherein 07 of them were found positive.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 169 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
