115 tests Covid-19 +ve in Cachar on Tuesday, 2 deaths registered

April 27: The District Health Department of Cachar informed that 115 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive on Tuesday. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has now gone up to 559. As per the updated data, a total of 1,389 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, a total of 50 persons were found positive, whereas 65 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Tuesday night. It needs mention here that on Monday, the total positive cases detected here was 90.

With this, the district tally of coronavirus cases has gone upto 12,411. Again, 11,813 patients till now were cured and discharged in Cachar. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed also informed that 2 Covid positive persons died at Silchar Medical College & Hospital during the day. He, however, informed that both the deaths were registered as non-Covid deaths. They are Biswajit Paul of Kalain and Arati Deb of Public School School.
