1 more death registered in last 24 hours at SMCH
Oct. 14: The coronavirus pandemic has now led to a procession of death also in Barak Valley. Since the last few days, the valley witnessed many deaths, although all of them were not certified as COVID-19 deaths. However, this also cannot be ruled out that all of them were infected with coronavirus. Those COVID positive persons who die due to comorbidities are usually not certified as ‘Covid-19’ death by the State Death Audit Board.
On Wednesday, Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) informed that in the last 24 hours, the Valley witnessed 01 more death at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). The deceased from Cachar district was identified as:
- Badan Chanda (65) from Joypur, Part-1 was admitted in SMCH on 29 September. He breathed his last at 3.30 PM on 13 October. As per SMCH sources, the wife of the deceased is also admitted at SMCH and is undergoing treatment till now. The death of Badan Chanda was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
