1 more Covid-19 patient die at Silchar Medical College in last 24 hours
54 patients in ICU, 12 in ventilator support & 71 put under oxygen at SMCH
July 14: The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 13 July to 5 PM on 14 July) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). His detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening. The deceased from Cachar district was identified as:
- Ramjan Ali (55) from Alipur in Cachar district was admitted at SMCH on 9 July. The patient, however, passed away at 7.45 PM on 13 July.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 14 July, there were 87 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 54 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 33 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 71 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 11 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 16 of them were discharged.
