Registrar notifies for phase-wise reopening of Assam Univ campus; odd sem exam to be held in proctored mode

March 24: In pursuance of the recommendations of the committee constituted for phase-wise reopening of Assam University campus, Registrar Dr PK Nath on Thursday issued a notification in this connection. He issued guidelines for necessary compliance by all concerned.

  1. 1st Semester offline classes for all the courses may start from 1st week of April, 2022. respective Departments may prepare class routine and notify the commencement of offline classes at the  earliest accordingly.
  2. Odd semester examinations of semesters/ courses which are/were not held due to lack of consensus for appearing in offline mode shall have their odd semester examination in online proctored mode only from 15 to 30 April, 2022. Accordingly, Controller of Examinations, Heads of concerned Departments, students and other stake holders are expected to take necessary action at the earliest. Detailed guideline of online mode shall be communicated to COE and all HoDs for further information to students.

3. A preparatory leave of 7-10 days may be given to students for appearing the semester end examinations.

4. DSW shall initiate steps for allotment of hostels to willing students as per criteria in April 2022. Hostel will open for occupation by fresh boarders from may 2022.

5. Offline classes shall continue to be held in alternate days until further order. Academic departments are required to prepare class schedule of different semesters of respective departments accordingly.
