1 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 26 December

Dec. 26: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 01 person was found positive in the district on 26 December. Also, 03 patients were discharged (03 from hospital & 0 from home) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 43 (36 in home isolation & 07 in hospitals).

As per the updated data, a total of 591 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas none were detected positive out of 278 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,555 whereas during this phase, 20,294 patients were discharged.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 25 December to 5 PM on 26 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 26 December, there were 05 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 02 are in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH but 02 of them were discharged.
