Active cases 20 in Cachar, 6 discharged

Nov. 22: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, only 01 person was found positive in the district on 22 November. Also, 06 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 20 (16 in Home isolation & 3 in hospitals). It needs mention here that on Sunday, 01 person was detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 462 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no person was found positive, whereas 01 was detected positive out of 118 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,378 whereas during this phase, 20,142 patients were discharged.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 21 November to 5 PM on 22 November) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 22 November, there were 04 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and also none were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH but none of them were discharged.
