1 found Covid positive in Hailakandi & no new case in Karimganj on Thursday

Sept. 23: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Thursday, Hailakandi registered only 01 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether 08 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 518 RAT tests and 57 RT-PCR tests were done. No patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,891 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,460 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no person was found positive in Hailakandi on Wednesday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.

Karimganj registered no fresh COVID cases on Thursday. The district has currently 21 active COVID cases, while 06 patients has been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Thursday. 1,537 swab samples were collected during the day.
