1 each found Covid positive in Hailakandi & Karimganj on Thursday

Oct. 7: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Thursday, Hailakandi registered 01 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether 05 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 395 RAT tests and 40 RT-PCR tests were done. 01 patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,896 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,468 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no patient was found positive in Hailakandi on Tuesday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,113 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

Karimganj registered 01 fresh COVID cases on Thursday. The district has currently 09 active COVID cases, while 01 patient has been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Thursday. 1,147 swab samples were collected during the day.
