64 students appeared in the admission test of Bengali course run by Banga Sahitto

১৬ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ বরাক উপত্যকা বঙ্গ সাহিত্য ও সংস্কৃতি সম্মেলন পরিচালিত দূরশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্রের বাংলা ভাষা ডিপ্লোমা কোর্সে (ডিসিবিএল) দ্বিতীয় ব্যাচের ভর্তিপ্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে। রবিবার শিলচর ও করিমগঞ্জ দুই কেন্দ্রে পরীক্ষা গ্রহণ করা হয়। শিলচরের নরসিং উচ্চতর মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ে মোট ৫০ পরীক্ষার্থী পরীক্ষায় বসেন। করিমগঞ্জ কলেজ কেন্দ্রে ছিলেন আরও ১৪জন। রাজ্য সরকারের অনুমোদন ক্রমে গত বছর থেকে এই কোর্স করাচ্ছে বঙ্গ সাহিত্যের কাছাড় জেলা সমিতি। প্রথম বছর শুধু শিলচরে ভর্তি প্রক্রিয়া নেওয়া হয়েছিল। এ বার পরীক্ষার্থীদের সুবিধের জন্য করিমগঞ্জে পৃথক পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্র খোলা হয়। তবে ক্লাশ হবে শিলচরের বঙ্গভবনেই।

দূর শিক্ষণ কেন্দ্রের পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক সঞ্জীব দেবলস্কর জানিয়েছেন, এই বছর মোট ৮০জন ভর্তির জন্য আবেদন জানিয়েছেন। তাঁদের মধ্যে মাধ্যমিকে যাদের বাংলা ছিল, তাঁদের ভর্তি প্রক্রিয়ায় বসতে হয়নি। আবেদনকারীদের অধিকাংশ বাঙালি হলেও বেশ কয়েকজন অবাঙালিও রয়েছেন। এমনকী, একজন অসমিয়াও এই কোর্সটি করার আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করে এ দিন পরীক্ষায় বসেছেন। আগামী ২৩ সেপ্টেম্বর ফল প্রকাশ হবে। বঙ্গভবনের বোর্ডে যেমন তা দেখা যাবে, তেমনি থাকবে www.barakupatyakabangasahitya.com-এও।

September 16: The admission procedure of the 2^nd batch in Diploma Course in Bengali Language (DCBL) through distance mode conducted by Barak Upottaka Banga Sahitto O Sanskriti Sammelan has started. On Sunday, the admission test was taken simultaneously at Silchar and Karimganj. A total of students appeared in the Silchar Narsing H.S. School centre, whereas in the Karimganj College centre, 14 students sat for the exam. The state government has authorized Barak Upottaka Banga Sahitto O Sanskriti Sammelan to conduct this course. In the 1^st year examination was conducted only at Silchar. But this year, keeping in mind the interest of the students, the exam was conducted at Karimganj also. However, classes will be held at Silchar Banga Bhavan.

Sanjib Deb Laskar, Examination In-charge of this distant mode of education has informed that a total of 80 candidates have applied for admission in DCBL. Those who had Bengali subject in their HSLC were not required to sit in this entrance examination. Though majority of the applicants for this course are from Bengali community, there are a few non-Bengali students also. Interestingly, even an Assamese student has also appeared in the entrance exam. The results of the entrance test will be declared on 23 September and will be displayed in the notice board at Banga Bhavan.
