Gunotsav 2023 rescheduled by SSA

way2barak, Dec.17: In a notification issued by the Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA), on 17 December, Gunotsav 2023 has been rescheduled. Assam Government had earlier notified the dates of Gunotsav 2023 to be held in three phases in all the 33 districts of the state.  As per the new notification, the dates were kept the same, but some of the dates of the districts where Gunotsav was to be held were altered.

As per the original notification, 13 districts were to conduct Gunotsav on 18, 19, 20 & 21 January. These 13 districts are: Barpeta, Golaghat, Karimganj, Hojai, Kamrup, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara-Mancachar, Tinsukia and Udalguri. However, as per the revised notification issued on 17 Dec, instead of 13 districts, only 11 districts will conduct Gunotsav in the 1st phase. These districts are: Barpeta, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Nagaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara-Mancachar and Udalguri.

On 1, 2, 3 & 4 February Gunotsav was to be held in Baksa, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhubri, Dima Hasao, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (M), Sonitpur and West Karbi Anglong. But as per the new notification issued on 17 December, during the 2nd phase, the following 14 districts instead of 10 districts will conduct Gunotsav:  Baksa, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dima Hasao, Golaghat, Hojai,  Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (M), Sonitpur, Tinsukia and West Karbi Anglong.

10 districts- Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Karbi Anglong, Cachar, Nagaon and Nalbari were to go for Gunotsav on 15, 16, 17 & 18 February. However, now, 8 districts instead of earlier notified 10 will conduct Gunotsav during the last phase. These 8 districts are:  Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Cachar, Nalbari and Morigaon.
