Cachar College defers social week programme due to Corona threat

March 15: In view of the rising cause of coronavirus threat, Cachar College, Silchar has decided to defer the annual social week programme which was supposed to be held on 16 March, 2020. In a notification issued by Dr. Siddhartha Sankar Nath, Principal of Cachar College on 14 March, it was stated, “The social week programme of Monday, dated 17-03-2020 is hereby deferred to reduce mass gathering and to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. This notice is issued as per Govt. order dated 07-04-2020.”
