45 more tests +ve in Cachar on Monday, day’s total 94

July 27: On Monday, as per the 1st slot of swab results and Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), 49 persons tested positive in Cachar district. However, this number increased after the results of the 2nd slot was published. As per the 2nd slot declared on Monday, 39 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive and another 6 as per Rapid test. With this, the total tally of COVID-19 positive cases detected on Monday has reached 94.

Those found positive as per the 2nd slot on Monday includes Joyprakash Kanoo (26) from Tarapur (Influenza Like Symptom- ILI), Md Khan (60) from Chamra Godam, Silchar (Air passenger from Kolkata), Sarimul Hq Laskar (31) from Sonai, Kachudaram (Air passenger from Bangalore), Sushila Devi (32) from Dolugram, Dholai (Air passenger from Bangalore), Pranab Paul (43) from Steamer Ghat, Malugram (Air passenger from Bangalore), Saidul Alom Mazumder (29) from Berenga Pt-II (Air passenger), Uttam Kumar Nath (38), Nutan bazar, Kajidohar (Air passenger from Bangalore), Rabijul Ali Laskar (25) from Goniwala, Silchar (Air passenger from Bangalore), Jhuma Das (37) from Meherpur, Near Petrol Pump (Air passenger from Bangalore), Gautam Ch. Paul (50) Steamer Ghat, Malugram (Air passenger from Bangalore) and  Arun Kr. Purkayastha (47) from Uttar Krishnapur-III (Air passenger from Delhi).

Others who were included in the 2nd slot of 39  are Santosh Kumar Chakra (34) from Meherpur (Air passenger from Duliajan), Deepak Singha (20) from Malugram, Dholai (Air passenger from Delhi) and Leehaj Choudhury (23) from Pallorbond (Air passenger from Hyderabad).

Further, another 9 persons were tested positive on Monday from Kalain CHC in Cachar. All of them are asymptomatic but were infected after they came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed cases. They are Kalpana Das (60), Sumit Das (27), Tublu Das (43), Joy Das (17), Tinku Das (36), Pinak Paul (46), Nitya Rani Paul (65), Dipika Paul (37) and Prachi Paul (10).

Some other positive persons in the 2nd slot are Janatara Beg Laskar (26) from Tupkhana Pt-I (Air passenger from Bangalore), Nipa Ree (24) from Rakhal tilla, Dholai (Air passenger from Bangalore), Sahin Ahmed Laskar (31) from Jirighat (Air passenger from Hyderabad), Amirul Islam Choudhury (25) from Rajghat Bagan Bazar (Air passenger from Bangalore), Subul Hussain Choudhury (38) from Jirighat (Air passenger from Hyderabad), Aparna Ghosh (23) from GoniGanj, Near Forest Road, Cachar (Air passenger), Ahmed Hussain Barbhuiya (26) from Tupkhana Pt-I (Air passenger from Bangalore), Motiur Rahman (20) from Bihara Pt-III (Air passenger from Chennai) and Debasmita Deb Roy (28) from Michael Sarani, Sonai Road (Air passenger from Kolkata).

Apart from them some other from the forces and police also tested positive on Monday. They are Ajay Kr Singh (43) from Airport Station, Kumbhirgram (Air passenger from Patna), Paritosh Sutradhar (40) from Airport, Kumbhirgram (Air passenger from Kolkata), Ram Kissan (33) from BSF Camp, Dholcherra (Air passenger from Delhi), Arvind Dixit (56) from GREF Nagatilla (Air passenger from Delhi), Devendra Kumar (33) from BSF Masimpur (Air passenger from Rajasthan), Ajay Pratap Kashyap (37) from BSF Camp Mashimpur (Air passenger) and Fatima B. Laskar (31) Police Reserve, Silchar (detected in ATSP).

Earlier, in the 1st slot, 11 persons were detected positive. They are Rajat Deb (45) from Koomber Tea Estate, Nobendu Kr. Adhikari (53) from Premtola, Abhra Kanti Adhikari (13) from Premtola & Bappi Sutradhar (33) from MahadevBari, Kanakpur Part-II. They are asymptomatic but were infected after they came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed cases. Sushmita Shil (19) from Rangirkhari tested positive during pre-natal covid screening.

Further, Sandhya Nath (45) from Janatha Lane, Meherpur, Rajib Roy (45) from Janata Lane, New Market, Subrata Paul (45) from Padmanagar, Bilpar, Gautam Deb (43) from Fatak Bazar also tested positive on Monday. All of them came in contact with positive case (Covid screening).

Motilal Baishya (75) of Purnapaul Road was also detected as coronavirus positive. He is symptomatic. His source of infection was mentioned as from Covid screening. MR Nayak (HC) (40) from 134 BM, BSF, Mashimpur was also tested as COVID-19 positive.
