Youth electrocuted to death while charging mobile phone at Chandighat

April 16: In a tragic incident, a youth got electrocuted and died in the spot. The incident occurred at Chandighat in Udharbond constituency of Cachar district. The deceased was identified as Biswajit Mura. As per reports, on Saturday evening, the youth just set his mobile on charge at his home, when at once due to short circuit, he got electrocuted and died.

Immediately, the family members rushed the youth to the local health centre at Udharbond. However, the doctors declared him to be brought dead. Meanwhile, on being informed, a team of police from Udharbond Police Station reached the spot where the incident took place. They took the dead body and sent it for post-mortem at Silchar Medical College & Hospital.
