Wreckage of missing IAF aircraft with 13 on board found near Payum in Arunachal Pradesh
যোরহাট থেকে রওনা দিয়ে মাঝ আকাশে হারিয়ে গেল বায়ুসেনার বিমান

৩ জুন : অসমের যোরহাট থেকে অরুণাচল প্রদেশের মেচুকা যাওয়ার পথে মাঝ আকাশে নিখোঁজ হয়ে যায় বিমান। দুপুর ১২.২৪ মিনিট নাগাদ নিখোঁজ হয়ে যায় বায়ুসেনার এএন-৩২ বিমানটি। উল্লেখ্য, বিমানটিতে আটজন ক্রু ও পাঁচ জন যাত্রী ছিলেন। দুপুর একটার সময় শেষবারের মতো যোগাযোগ করা যায় বিমানটির সঙ্গে৷ তারপর থেকেই আর যোগাযোগ করা যাচ্ছিল না বিমানের পাইলটের সঙ্গে। গ্রাউন্ড কন্ট্রোল সিস্টেমের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ হারিয়ে ফেলে বিমানটি।

নিখোঁজ বিমানের সন্ধান পেতে সুখোই ৩০ ও সি-১৩০ বিমানকে পাঠানো হয়েছিল বায়ুসেনার তরফে৷ সর্বশেষ পাওয়া তথ্য অনুযায়ী, বায়ুসেনার বিমানটির ধ্বংসাবশেষ অরুণাচল প্রদেশের পায়ুম গ্রামে খুঁজে পাওয়া গিয়েছে৷ তবে আস্ত বিমান নয়, খোঁজ মিলেছে ধ্বংসাবশেষের। বিমানে থাকা যাত্রীদের কোনও খবর মেলেনি। তবে আশঙ্কা করা হচ্ছে, যাত্রীদের বেঁচে থাকার সম্ভাবনা খুবই ক্ষীণ।

তবে বায়ুসেনার তরফে এই খবর উড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। বলা হয়, নিখোঁজ বিমানটির খোঁজ চলছে। গভীর রাত পর্যন্ত অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে।

June 3: In a significant development, wreckage of the missing Indian Air Force (IAF) AN 32 aircraft has been reportedly found near Payum village in Arunachal Pradesh. The AN-32 aircraft went missing after about 35 minutes of getting airborne from Jorhat airport on Monday. The aircraft got airborne from Jorhat air base at 12.25 hrs for Menchuka Advance Landing Ground in Arunachal Pradesh.

The aircraft had gone missing with eight crew members and five passengers. The aircraft, headed to Arunachal Pradesh’s Mechuka, lost all contact with ground staff at around 1 PM on Monday. Just after the aircraft went missing, IAF launched Sukhoi 30 combat aircraft and C-130 Special Operations aircraft on a search mission.

IAF coordinated with Indian Army, various government and civil agencies to locate the missing aircraft. Defence minister Rajnath Singh was in constant touch with the Indian Air Force headquarters in New Delhi about the missing aircraft. According to reports, he was in touch with the IAF vice-chief Air Marshal Rakesh Singh Bhaudauria.
