Working hours of Banks in Cachar to be from 9 AM instead of 10 AM: DC Cachar

March 19: Keeping in view the declaration of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic as public health emergency of international concern by World Health Organisation (WHO), various advisories and directivea are issued by the Government of Assam and District Administration Cachar from time to time to control the spread of the epidemic and maintain social distancing.

On Thursday, Barnali Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar made an appeal to the bank authorities in the district to reduce the crowd in the bank premises and to maintain social distancing to check spread of coronavirus epidemic, if any.

Meanwhile, DC Cachar also urged upon the bank authorities of Cachar to extend the working hours of the bank from 9 AM instead of 10 AM with effect from 20 March, 2020. This was stated in a press release issued from the Regional Office of Information and Public Relations, Barak Zone Assam.
