Women from a self help group at Ramnagar assembles LED bulb available for sale in Snapdeal

May 16: Barak Valley indeed has got talent, if channelized in a proper manner. A recent incident of a women from Ramnagar Tarapur Gaon Panchayat in Cachar district assembling LED bulbs which are sold in online platforms like Snapdeal has earned immense reputation.

Ranjana Begum Barbhuiya of “Rahmat Self Help Group” of Ramnagar Tarapur Gaon Panchayat under Block Mission Management Unit, ASRLM, SILCHAR engaged herself in LED bulb assembling business. The woman knows well how to assembly the parts. It costs around 70 to 75 rupees to assemble a single LED bulb of 12W which they are selling at a wholesale price of 92 rupees with an MRP of 120 rupees that is much lesser than other available products in the market. This was informed by District Administration Cachar in their official Facebook Page on Sunday.

In addition to that, they are also giving one year warranty on the product. The product is also available on online platform like snapdeal. However, the same LED bulb which appears for sale in the online platform Snapdeal appears to be priced at Rs. 599.
