With 84 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 301 on 6 June, 3 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 3,290 in Cachar, 315 discharged on Sunday
June 6: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 11 PM. As per the latest data, 84 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 301 persons were found positive in the district on 6 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 217 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 3,290. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Sunday night. Also, 315 patients were discharged after getting cured during the day. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 353 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 9,405 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 212 persons were found positive, whereas 89 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 12,873 whereas during this phase, 9,462 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 3,290 active patients:
- 257 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 10 at MH
- 44 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 40 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 18 at CRPF Doyapur
- 09 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 34 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 16 at Valley Hospital
- 14 at South City Hospital
- 04 at Nightingale Hospital
- 00 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 29 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,815 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 5 June to 5 PM on 6 June) witnessed demise of 02 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 3 deceased, 02 are from Cachar district, while 01 is from Hailakandi.
The deceased were identified as Gyas Uddin Choudhury (55) from Hailakandi, Dinomoni Singha (76) from Dolu in Cachar and Safa Begum Barbhuiya (55) from Kabuganj in Cachar.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 6 June, there were 248 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 98 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 150 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 27 patients were put under ventilator support and 142 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 37 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 24 of them were discharged. Further, 48 of them have opted for home isolation.
