With 83 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 359 on 10 June, 2 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 2,928 in Cachar
June 10: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 11.00 PM. As per the latest data, 83 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 359 persons were found positive in the district on 10 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 276 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 2,928. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Thursday night. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 314 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 11,559 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 274 persons were found positive, whereas 85 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 14,147 whereas during this phase, 11,082 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 2,928 active patients:
- 213 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 13 at MH
- 42 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 26 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 20 at CRPF Doyapur
- 01 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 37 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 13 at Valley Hospital
- 02 at South City Hospital
- 00 at Nightingale Hospital
- 12 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 39 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,510 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 9 June to 5 PM on 10 June) witnessed demise of 02 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Both of them are from Cachar district.
The deceased were identified as Ganga Prasad Dhobi (75) from Kamranga Part-II in Cachar and Deb Charan Ree (58) from Darangkhal in Cachar.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 10 June, there were 213 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 82 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 131 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 22 patients were put under ventilator support and 141 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 32 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 30 of them were discharged. Further, 17 of them have opted for home isolation.
