With 8 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 14 on 30 August

Active cases 120 in Cachar; 19 discharged on Monday

Aug. 30: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 08 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 14 persons were found positive in the district on 30 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 06 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 120. This was informed by District Media Expert on Monday night. Also, 19 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 10 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 3,218 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 06 persons were found positive, whereas 08 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,718 whereas during this phase, 19,403 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 120 active patients:

26 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
12 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
12 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
05 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
09 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
01 Palonghat Model Hospital
36 patients are in home isolation.

Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. For the 2nd consecutive day, Hailakandi registered no new COVID-19 cases on Monday. The district has altogether 11 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 750 RAT tests and 106 RT-PCR tests were done. 01 patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,871 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,437 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Sunday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district. Further, during the day, 3,740 persons were administered Covid-19 vaccines.
