With 8 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 10 on 28 Sept, 1 death at SMCH
Active cases 43 in Cachar; 3 discharged on Tuesday
Sept 28: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday at 11.55 PM. As per the latest data, 08 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 10 persons were found positive in the district on 28 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 02 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 43 This was informed by District Media Expert on Tuesday night. Also, 03 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Monday, 05 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 2,299 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 02 persons were found positive, whereas 08 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 2,00,46 whereas during this phase, 19,792 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 43 active patients:
20 of them are admitted at SMCH
07 at MH
00 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
00 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
01 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
00 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
15 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 27 September to 5 PM on 28 September) witnessed the death of 01 more Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as:
- Joydhat Chhorei (75) from Magura in Karimganj district was admitted at SMCH on 18 September. The patient, however, breathed his last at 7.15 AM on 28 September.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 28 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 03 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
