With 61 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 311 on 11 June, 3 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 2,557 in Cachar; 688 discharged on Friday
June 11: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 10.15 PM. As per the latest data, 61 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 311 persons were found positive in the district on 11 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 250 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 2,557. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Friday night. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 359 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 3,766 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 221 persons were found positive, whereas 90 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. As per sources, during the day, out of the 90 positive cases detected in RT-PCR test, 28 of them were found positive in Mzargram Tea Estate. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 14,466 whereas during this phase, 11,770 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 2,557 active patients:
- 213 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 11 at MH
- 39 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 29 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 20 at CRPF Doyapur
- 05 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 36 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 13 at Valley Hospital
- 04 at South City Hospital
- 00 at Nightingale Hospital
- 12 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 40 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,135 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 10 June to 5 PM on 11 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 3 deceased, 02 are from Cachar, whereas 01 belongs to Hailakandi.
The deceased were identified as Bela Rani Sen (84) from Vivekananda Road, Silchar, Champalal Rabidas (68) from Jirighat in Cachar and Hira Majumdar (32) from Lakhinagar Part 2 in Hailakandi district.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 11 June, there were 201 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 87 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 114 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 23 patients were put under ventilator support and 142 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 23 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 32 of them were discharged. Further, 06 of them have opted for home isolation.
