With 6 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 16 on 2 Sept, 1 death at SMCH
Active cases 106 in Cachar; 24 discharged on Thursday
Sept 2: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at late night. As per the latest data, 06 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 16 persons were found positive in the district on 2 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 10 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 106. This was informed by District Media Expert on Thursday night. Also, 24 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 23 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 3,404 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 08 persons were found positive, whereas 08 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,758 whereas during this phase, 19,457 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 106 active patients:
25 of them are admitted at SMCH
05 at MH
09 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
08 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
08 at CRPF Doyapur
04 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
00 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
06 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
02 Palonghat Model Hospital
39 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 1 September to 5 PM on 2 September) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening. The deceased was identified as:
- Y. Newarei Devi (72) from Jiribam in Manipur was admitted at SMCH on 1 September, 2021. She, however, breathed her last at 1.30 AM on 2 September, 2021.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 2 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 03 patients were put under ventilator support and 16 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 05 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 06 of them were discharged.
