With 6 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 12 on 29 Sept
Active cases 49 in Cachar; 4 discharged on Wednesday
Sept 29: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.25 PM. As per the latest data, 06 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 12 persons were found positive in the district on 29 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 06 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 49. This was informed by District Media Expert on Wednesday night. Also, 04 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 10 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 2,587 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 06 persons were found positive, whereas 06 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 2,00,56 whereas during this phase, 19,796 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 43 active patients:

00 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
01 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
01 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
00 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
17 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 28 September to 5 PM on 29 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 29 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 02 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 03 of them were discharged.
