With 48 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 316 on 4 June, 3 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 3,135 in Cachar, 386 discharged on Friday
June 4: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 11 PM. As per the latest data, 48 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 316 persons were found positive in the district on 4 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 268 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 3,135. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Friday night. Also, 386 patients were discharged after getting cured during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 358 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 8,852 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 261 persons were found positive, whereas 55 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 11,948, whereas during this phase, 8,700 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 3,135 active patients:
- 302 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 11 at MH
- 46 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 41 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 15 at CRPF Doyapur
- 16 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 32 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 16 at Valley Hospital
- 17 at South City Hospital
- 11 at Nightingale Hospital
- 04 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 22 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,603 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 3 June to 5 PM on 4 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. All the 3 deceased are from Cachar district.
The deceased were identified as Monoranjan Paul Purkayastha (85) from Public School Road, Silchar, Dhirendra Deb (61) from Kumarpara in Cachar and KK Debdas Singha (76) from Shib Bari Road, Tarapur in Silchar.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 4 June, there were 263 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 88 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 175 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 28 patients were put under ventilator support and 132 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 36 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 38 of them were discharged. Further, 28 of them have opted for home isolation.
