With 46 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 124 on 25 June

Active cases 1,476 in Cachar; 141 discharged on Friday

June 25: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 10.30 PM. As per the latest data, 46 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 124 persons were found positive in the district on 25 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 78 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 1,476. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Friday night. Also, 141 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 96 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 4,833 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 77 persons were found positive, whereas 47 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,187, whereas during this phase, 15,547 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 1,476 active patients:

  • 130 of them are admitted at SMCH
  • 11 at MH
  • 47 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
  • 20 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
  • 18 at CRPF Doyapur
  • 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
  • 14 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
  • 03 at Valley Hospital
  • 00 at South City Hospital
  • 23 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
  • 09 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
  • 61 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
  • 42 Palonghat Model Hospital
  • 1,098 patients are in home isolation.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley for more than a month. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 24 June to 5 PM on 25 June) did not witness the demise of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. This is ofcourse a ray of hope that after more than a month, none died at SMCH being infected by coronavirus.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 25 June, there were 147 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 67 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 80 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 11 patients were put under ventilator support and 88 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 24 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 06 of them were discharged. 02 patients took admission in Covid Care centre.
