With 44 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 114 on 26 June, 3 deaths at SMCH

Active cases 1,077 in Cachar; 521 discharged on Saturday

June 26: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 10.00 PM. As per the latest data, 44 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 114 persons were found positive in the district on 26 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 70 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 1,077. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Saturday night. Also, 521 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 124 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 8,658 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 70 persons were found positive, whereas 44 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,310, whereas during this phase, 16,068 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 1,077 active patients:

  • 147 of them are admitted at SMCH
  • 11 at MH
  • 37 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
  • 20 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
  • 18 at CRPF Doyapur
  • 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
  • 14 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
  • 00 at Valley Hospital
  • 00 at South City Hospital
  • 16 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
  • 06 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
  • 64 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
  • 42 Palonghat Model Hospital
  • 702 patients are in home isolation.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 25 June to 5 PM on 26 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 3 deceased, 01 is from Karimganj district, 01 from Cachar and 01 from Hailakandi district.

The deceased were identified as Radhapati Lohar (65) from Loairpowa in Karimganj district, Chandra Mohan Singha (72) from Bilaipur in Hailakandi district and Subodh Chandra Bhattacharjee (86) from Malugram, Silchar.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 26 June, there were 138 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 61 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 77 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 11 patients were put under ventilator support and 82 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 09 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 15 of them were discharged.
