With 30 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 67 on 14 July

Active cases 354 in Cachar; 55 discharged on Wednesday

July 14: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 10.30 PM. As per the latest data, 30 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 67 persons were found positive in the district on 14 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 37 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 354. This was informed by District Media Expert on Wednesday night. Also, 55 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 37 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

Further, on Wednesday, a total of 5,189 beneficiaries were administered Covid vaccine in Cachar district.

As per the updated data, a total of 6,404 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 31 persons were found positive, whereas 36 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 18,353 whereas during this phase, 17,826 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 354 active patients:

29 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
09 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
05 at CRPF Doyapur
00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
01 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
00 at Valley Hospital
00 at South City Hospital
08 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
06 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
11 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
28 Palonghat Model Hospital
152 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 13 July to 5 PM on 14 July) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). His detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening. The deceased from Cachar district was identified as:

  • Ramjan Ali  (55) from Alipur in Cachar district was admitted at SMCH on 9 July. The patient, however, passed away at 7.45 PM on 13 July.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 14 July, there were 87 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 54 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 33 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 71 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 11 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 16 of them were discharged.
