With 27 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 85 on 30 June, 1 death at SMCH

Active cases 633 in Cachar; 147 discharged on Wednesday

June 30: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.15 PM. As per the latest data, 27 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 85 persons were found positive in the district on 30 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 58 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 633. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Wednesday night. Also, 147 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 65 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 2,356 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 56 persons were found positive, whereas 29 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,596, whereas during this phase, 16,796 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 633 active patients:

  • 137 of them are admitted at SMCH
  • 10 at MH
  • 35 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
  • 20 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
  • 13 at CRPF Doyapur
  • 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
  • 14 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
  • 00 at Valley Hospital
  • 00 at South City Hospital
  • 11 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
  • 09 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
  • 30 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
  • 19 Palonghat Model Hospital
  • 335 patients are in home isolation.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley for more than a month with a gap of two days in between. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 29 June to 5 PM on 30 June) witnessed demise of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). The detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening. The deceased was identified as:

  • Sanjay Mahaldar (74) from Second Link Road in Silchar, Cachar was admitted at SMCH on 29 June. He however, passed away at 5.30 AM on 30 June.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 30 June, there were 128 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 51 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 77 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 08 patients were put under ventilator support and 82 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 25 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 33 of them were discharged.
