With 23 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 78 on 12 July
Active cases 394 in Cachar; 55 discharged on Monday
July 12: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 11 PM. As per the latest data, 23 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 78 persons were found positive in the district on 12 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 55 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 394. This was informed by District Media Expert on Monday night. Also, 55 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 46 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
Further, on Monday, a total of 8,193 beneficiaries were administered Covid vaccine in Cachar district.
As per the updated data, a total of 9,515 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 55 persons were found positive, whereas 23 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 18,275, whereas during this phase, 17,708 patients were discharged.

06 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
15 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
33 Palonghat Model Hospital
168 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 11 July to 5 PM on 12 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 12 July, there were 94 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 49 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 45 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 62 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 13 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 14 of them were discharged.
