With 19 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 62 on 10 July, 2 deaths registered
Active cases 377 in Cachar; 28 discharged on Saturday
July 10: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 10.30 PM. As per the latest data, 19 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 62 persons were found positive in the district on 10 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 43 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 377. This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 28 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 57 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 3,617 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 43 persons were found positive, whereas 19 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 18,154, whereas during this phase, 17,604 patients were discharged.

00 at Gracewell Nursing Home

06 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
13 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
26 Palonghat Model Hospital
145 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 9 July to 5 PM on 10 July) witnessed the death of 02 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening. Both the deceased are from Karimganj district.
They were identified as Parimal Paul (82) from Srigouri in Karimganj district and Nepal Chandra Das (78) from Badarpur in Karimganj district.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 10 July, there were 109 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 50 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 59 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 11 patients were put under ventilator support and 72 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 12 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 09 of them were discharged.
