With 17 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 72 on 28 June
Active cases 828 in Cachar; 204 discharged on Monday
June 28: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 10.45 PM. As per the latest data, 17 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 72 persons were found positive in the district on 28 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 55 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 828. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Monday night. Also, 204 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 48 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 7,315 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 55 persons were found positive, whereas 17 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,482, whereas during this phase, 16,488 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 828 active patients:
- 132 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 09 at MH
- 38 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 18 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 18 at CRPF Doyapur
- 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 13 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 00 at Valley Hospital
- 00 at South City Hospital
- 14 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
- 10 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 57 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 32 Palonghat Model Hospital
- 487 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley for more than a month. However, for the second consecutive day, Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) did not witness the demise of any Covid-19 positive patient. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening. This is of course a ray of hope.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 28 June, there were 130 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 53 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 77 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 82 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 17 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 19 of them were discharged.
