With 17 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 27 on 20 August
Active cases 125 in Cachar; 24 discharged on Friday
Aug 20: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 10.40 PM. As per the latest data, 17 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 27 persons were found positive in the district on 20 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 10 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 125. This was informed by District Media Expert on Friday night. Also, 24 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 24 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 2,613 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 10 persons were found positive, whereas 17 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,554 whereas during this phase, 19,237 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 125 active patients:
29 of them are admitted at SMCH
13 at MH
19 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
07 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
02 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
11 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
00 Palonghat Model Hospital
31 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 19 August to 5 PM on 20 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 20 August, there were 30 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 15 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 15 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 22 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 07 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 06 of them were discharged.
