With 128 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 602 on 25 May, 7 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 2,655 in Cachar; 278 patients discharged on Tuesday
May 25: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 128 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 602 persons were found positive in the district on 25 May. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 474 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 2,655. Also, 278 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that the total number of positive cases detected on Monday was 668.
As per the updated data, a total of 7,061 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 438 persons were found positive, whereas 164 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert on Tuesday night. With this, the total number of Covid cases in 2021 reached 7,633 in 2021, whereas during the year, 4,909 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, Suman Choudhury informed that out of the 2,655 active patients:
- 282 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 12 at MH
- 35 at SMDCH
- 43 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 20 at CRPF Doyapur
- 18 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 15 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 25 at Valley Hospital
- 24 at South City Hospital
- 00 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 24 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,167 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours witnessed demise of 07 more Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board as per the protocol. Out of the 07 deceased, 04 are from Cachar district, 02 from Karimganj & 01 from Hailakandi.
The deceased were identified as: Muzibur Ragman Mazumder (50) from Gonigram in Katigorah, Cachar; Surajit Deb (70) from Patharkandi in Karimganj district; Sudhangshu Chanda (81) from Padma Nagar (Bilpar), Silchar; Rajarshi Bhattacharjee (35) from Latu in Karimganj; Bijoy Rakshit (72) from Itkhola, Silchar; Nazim Uddin Barbhuiya (55) from Berenga in Cachar and Abdul Nur Choudhury (60) from Katlicherra in Hailakandi district.
