With 12 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 24 on 18 August
Active cases 141 in Cachar; 36 discharged on Wednesday
Aug 18: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.15. As per the latest data, 12 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 24 persons were found positive in the district on 18 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 12 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 141. This was informed by District Media Expert on Wednesday night. Also, 36 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Monday, 28 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
Also, 654 persons were administered Covid vaccine during the day. With this, a totalof 6,45,429 persons were vaccinated in cachar district till now.
As per the updated data, a total of 1,985 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 10 persons were found positive, whereas 14 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,523 whereas during this phase, 19,190 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 141 active patients:
38 of them are admitted at SMCH
05 at MH
26 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
07 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
02 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
19 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
00 Palonghat Model Hospital
31 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 17 August to 5 PM on 18 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Wednesday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 18 August, there were 32 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 12 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 20 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 19 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 04 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 09 of them were discharged.
