Winter Issue of Creative Wings inaugurated at Radhamadhab College

December 12: Keeping with its tradition of bring out wall magazine since the last four years, the Department of English, Radhamadhab College inaugurated its wall magazine ‘Creative Wings.’ On Wednesday, the fourth edition of the wall magazine ‘Creative Wings’ was inaugurated by the Principal of the College Dr. Pronoy Ranjan Deb in presence of the teachers and students.

Speaking during the occasion, the Principal of the College Dr. Deb thanked the Department of English for maintaining the tradition of bringing out two editions of the same every year-Winter Issue and Summer Issue. This was the Winter issue of ‘Creative Wings. He congratulated the the teachers and students of the department for this endeavour and expressed hope that they will continue with this tradition in the future also.

Dr. Kankana Nath, Associate Professor and head, Department of English in her speech thanked the students for their creativity in writing and decorating the wall magazine. She said, “In a day and time, when English has become the lingua franca, such kind of endeavour will definitely enhance the creative faculty of the students and prepare them for their future strides.” She further urged upon the students to gear up and make the next Summer Issue more informative.

Others who gave relevant speeches include Dr. Jashobanta Roy, Vice Principal of the College, Arundhati Dutta Choudhury, Sudarshan Gupta and Sonali Choudhury (Biswas). The students present also expressed gratitude to the Head and other teachers of the department of English for guiding them in this attempt and assured future help and cooperation.
