Wear mask, maintain distance & personal hygiene even in green zones: Assam Police

May 4: As India enters into Lockdown 3.0, major relaxations were conceded for the first time. The relaxations were of course granted in the green zones, whereas for orange and red zones, lockdown regulations were more strict. However, even in green zones, people needs to be extra cautious as any time a green zone may become an orange or red zone, if fresh cases of COVID-19 are detected.

Assam Police also issued an advisory for the people of the state in this connection. Taking to social media, Assam Police wrote, “As we move into #Lockdown3 with some relaxations, wearing of Face Masks, maintaining social distancing and personal hygiene continues to be a must. We are glad that citizens have been supportive so far, of each other & us. We request the same in #Lockdown3. Let’s not lose the momentum!”

Out of the 33 districts in the state, only 4 zones were categorised as orange, while there was no red zone at this moment. The rest of the districts in Assam were categorised as green zones.
